New Teeth!

We now have 4 molars making for a total of 12 teeth! The fist two (one on top one on bottom) broke through on Tuesday the 18th of March! the second two started breaking through on the 21st. now we officially have all four~ my little boy is growing up so fast. He's starting to use them as well. We found that they are really effective at chomping up crayons and mommy's fingers when the crayons are discovered and being removed.

Tonight Ryan and I are taking a mini vacay, and staying at Ocean shores in his Aunt and Uncle's house that they just built on the freshwater canal. We're coming home on Sunday, so there should be plenty of cute stories from Noah's stay with Grandma and Grandpa Winslow over the weekend. Last night he said "more" for the first time when referring to his juice cup! it was really exciting that he was able to communicate with us so directly. He handed me his sippy cup and said "more-more" which sounds more like "moh-moh"
pretty awesome, but bittersweet, because he's growing up so darned fast, I feel like I wont be able to lock away all these memories.

Helping

I have the best helper in the world! Noah now helps sweep, put on his clothes and shoes (which we are getting better at now), he is so good at feeding other people too! He loves to share his food with anyone who will let him put his fingers in their mouth. He also helps mommy brush her teeth and put her shoes on! Which is nice because my face needs to be minty fresh and walking in a straight line is totally overrated! Noah helps by turning on and off the lights when we leave or enter a room, and he will definetely let you know if you are forgetting to lift him up to the switch to HELP!
This morning I dropped Noah off with his Grandpa Winslow while I went to work for a few hours, and he helped Grandpa vaccuum! It was slow going, but Grandpa was very patient and helped him steer.
Noah has also discovered the joy of mud puddles! Something Grandpa Winslow learned about last week when he took his eyes off of Noah for all of 30 seconds while they were playing outside. He loves getting dirty... typical boy (and definetely his mothers' child). Somehow over the last few months he has grown up and is ready to make his own decisions! If I tell him to be careful or not to do something he will listen pretty well, much to my pride, but then suddenly I'll hear a THUD or a BANG and I find that he wasn't really listening, he was just biding his time till my back was turned! Looks like this is just the start of the tears and bruises!

This needed to happen!

March 13, 2008
I got the idea to blog about Noah from my sister in law Erica. She blogs about my neice Ashlyn. I love to read her blogs and be updated on Ashlyn's progress. I haven't been writing down any of Noahs milestones or funny stories for the last few months and I think i will make time, if I can type it out while i'm sitting at work. It's the sort of thing that he will cherish as he gets older, and I feel that it's pretty important to capture those funny/special times on paper (or a blog since it is the 21st century now!)
To date Noah has 8 teeth, but his molars have been threatening for about a month.
He says Mama (4 months), Dadda (5 months), Yay (when life is sooo exciting, usually this is accompanied by clapping), Maggie (our dog), Hot (the heater, and stove), More, Up (while crawling up the stairs), night night (when it's time for bed), go-go (when running from mom or dad in a game of chase), All gone (when the food or bottle is gone), Baba(for bottle), Budda (a nickname we call him), Nanna (my mom), Grandad, Yellow (which sounds like deddow), geesh (when he is flabbergasted). I think that's about it. Pretty large vocab for a 14 month old i think. But then, I am biased!
At one year old he weighed around 28 pounds and was close to 32 inches, both in the 90-95% range and then his head was in the 99% as it has been since the day he was born.
Noah is extremely active these days, he loves to run and especially splash in mud puddles, he finds EVERY rock on the ground interesting, and once mistook dog poop for a large rock... Ryan had fun cleaning that from out between his fingers! He climbs to the top of the couch in about 2 seconds flat. He is also a very accomplished dancer. he bobs up and down, sways side to side, runs in place , and last night started swirling his head in a circle. He has great rythym too! He also likes to sing along with music, it's pretty cute!
